Certifications: Qualified designations such as Certified Safety Qualified (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or local equivalents (e.g., NEOSH/NEBOSH).
Key Responsibilities:
Product safety and contamination risk assessment
Regulatory compliance and audit support
Identification and assessment of workplace health and safety risks
Development and implementation of health and safety procedures
Ensuring production continuity from a health and safety perspective
Conducting safety inspections and supporting corrective actions
Providing consultant-level guidance on occupational health and safety requirements
Understanding and monitoring food hygiene and safety controls
Hygiene & PPE Requirements:
Frequent handwashing and sanitisation
Proper use of gloves, PPE, and protective clothing
Ensuring compliance with personal hygiene requirements
