Job Summary

The US Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting residential mortgage loan applications, including
Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR products
. The role involves assessing borrower eligibility, analyzing risk,



ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines, and making accurate underwriting decisions in a quick-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review and underwrite Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR mortgage loans.
Analyze borrower income, assets, credit, employment, and collateral to assess eligibility and risk.
Evaluate alternative documentation loans including Bank Statement, Asset Depletion, 1099 Income, ITIN, and P&L-only; programs.
Ensure compliance with agency, investor, company, and regulatory guidelines.
Issue approvals, conditions, suspensions, or denials based on underwriting standards.
Review and explicit underwriting conditions and resubmitted documentation.
Coordinate with loan officers, processors, brokers, and internal teams to support timely loan decisions.
Maintain accurate underwriting records and support quality control and audit processes.
Stay updated with mortgage products, investor requirements, and regulatory changes.
