Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Assembly Engineer/Technician with strong hands-on experience in SPM, automation machine assembly, machine fitting, and commissioning. The candidate should be capable of independently handling machine assembly activities and guiding junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and install SPM and automation machines as per engineering drawings.
- Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, drilling, tapping, alignment, and leveling activities.
- Read and understand 2D/3D engineering drawings and assembly drawings.
- Assemble pneumatic cylinders, valves, sensors, actuators, linear guides, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
- Perform machine alignment, setting, and trial-run activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues during machine build and commissioning.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, PLC, and Production teams for machine completion.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Ensure proper quality, dimensional accuracy, and functionality of assembled machines.




- Guide and supervise junior fitters and assembly technicians.
- Maintain proper tools, components, and assembly work practices.
- Complete assembly work within the planned project schedule.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on knowledge of SPM and automation machine assembly.
- Valuable knowledge of mechanical components and machine mechanisms.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, GD&T; basics, and BOMs.
- Experience in machine alignment and precision fitting.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead an assembly team.
- Willingness to travel for customer site installation and commissioning.

Qualification ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Fitter / Mechatronics

Preferred Experience

Experience in SPM, automation, special-purpose machines, fixtures & jigs, automotive automation, or industrial machinery will be preferred.
