An accountant often gathers and examines a bunch of financial data in order to assess the organization’s economic health. They additionally make sure that all monetary transactions follow the organization’s financial guidelines. An accountant remains in touch with clients frequently to address their financial concerns and foster a positive working relationship.

Responsibilities:

- Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzingaccounting data; and preparing reports.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling andanalyzing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.




- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and recent legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
- GAAP
- Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc. is a plus.
- Knowledge of Accounting Practices and taxation laws is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, honesty and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
