Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Senior Accountant to independently manage and oversee the Finance & Accounts function of the organization.
The role will be responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, cash-flow management, taxation, statutory compliance, project costing, receivables, audits, internal controls and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate should go beyond routine bookkeeping and accounting. The candidate will act as a finance business partner to management and departmental HODs, providing meaningful financial insights, identifying risks, monitoring costs and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely accounting entries in Tally Prime.
- Supervise monthly and annual closing of accounts.
- Assist in finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
- Monitor accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness and appropriate accounting treatment.
1. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly MIS and management reports.
- Analyse P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
- Prepare Budget vs. Actual analysis and highlight significant variances.
- Prepare departmental / project-wise financial performance reports.
- Analyse departmental turnover, profitability, expenditure and margins.
- Convert financial data into meaningful observations and actionable recommendations for management.
- Identify financial trends, risks and areas requiring management attention.
1. Project & Departmental Financial Monitoring
- Monitor project-wise expenditure and verify project-related costs.
- Track project costing and profitability.
- Monitor project completion and ensure timely invoicing.
- Review departmental financial performance and expenditure.
- Coordinate with HODs regarding budgets, expenses, revenue and financial performance.
- Identify cost overruns and financial irregularities and escalate them appropriately.
1. Receivables & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor customer receivables and ageing.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for payment follow-ups.
- Review outstanding payments and escalate overdue receivables.
- Prepare and monitor cash-flow projections.
- Ensure adequate cash-flow planning for operational requirements.
- Support management in improving working capital and collection efficiency.
1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable taxation and statutory requirements.
- Review GST,
TDS and Income Tax compliance.
- Coordinate and monitor PF, ESIC, PT and LWF compliance wherever applicable.
- Review tax calculations, returns and supporting documentation.
- Identify potential compliance risks and ensure timely corrective action.
1. Audit & Compliance
- Conduct / coordinate monthly internal finance and compliance reviews.
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with internal auditors and external statutory auditors.
- Provide required schedules, documents and explanations during audits.
- Follow up on audit observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate annual audit activities and support timely finalization of financial statements.
1. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process with departmental HODs.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
- Monitor actual performance against approved budgets.
- Analyse budget variances and recommend corrective measures.
- Support management in annual financial planning and business decisions.
1. Payroll & Vendor / Commercial Review
- Coordinate / supervise payroll-related accounting activities.
- Review supplier and vendor commercial transactions.
- Verify invoices, payments and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper accounting and financial controls over vendor transactions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for commercial and payment-related matters.
1. Financial Controls & Process Improvement
- Review existing finance processes, systems and policies.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency.
- Proactively identify financial risks, irregularities and control gaps.
- Ensure adherence to approved financial policies and procedures.
- Support implementation and improvement of ERP / accounting systems.
Required QualificationsEssential
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting and taxation.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Hands-on experience in MIS preparation and management reporting.
Preferred
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with ERP / accounting systems.
- Experience in project-based or service-oriented organizations.
- Experience managing multiple entities / group companies.
Required Experience 12–15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a multi-department, project-based or service-oriented organization.
Candidates currently working as Accounts Manager, Senior Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager or Deputy Finance Manager may be considered based on their overall experience, technical knowledge and managerial capabilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should not be limited to a bookkeeping or transactional accounting role. We are looking for a finance skilled who can independently manage accounting operations while also functioning as a financial controller and business finance partner to management.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
