Key Responsibilities:
Read and understand engineering drawings, job instructions, and process sheets.
Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on VMC machines as per drawing and program.
Load and verify CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi / Haas etc.) before operation.
Perform tool offset, work offset, and program setting as required.
Conduct first piece inspection and ensure part quality as per drawing tolerances.
Adjust cutting parameters (feed, speed, depth of cut) for optimal machining performance.
Maintain tool life records and replace worn-out tools in coordination with the tool room.
Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth production flow.
Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S and safety procedures in the work area.
Report any deviation, breakdown, or quality issue to the supervisor immediately.
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Experience: 3 to 5 years in VMC Machine Setting (Fanuc / Siemens control preferred)
Industry: Automotive / Engineering / Manufacturing
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machine setting and operation:
Knowledge of tooling, fixture setting, and CNC programming basics:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & GD&T; symbols:
Understanding of cutting parameters, tool offsets, and measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.)
Awareness of IATF quality standards and safety practices
