The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the productive operation, maintenance, and reliability of all plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure within the manufacturing facility. The role involves planning and executing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, improving machine performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve optimum equipment availability and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Plant & Equipment Maintenance
Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for production machinery and utilities.
Ensure maximum machine uptime and minimize equipment breakdowns to support uninterrupted production.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and implement timely corrective actions.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of maintenance consumables.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment.
Maintain maintenance history records and analyze equipment performance trends.
Conduct periodic inspections to identify potential equipment failures and recommend preventive actions.
