Job Summary:
An English Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging English language and literature lessons to students. The role includes developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while creating a positive and supportive learning setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials according to the curriculum.
Teach English grammar, literature, composition, vocabulary, and communication skills.
Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance through tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
Maintain classroom discipline and encourage student participation.
Provide guidance and support to students to improve language proficiency.
Use contemporary teaching methods and educational technology to enhance learning.
Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school administration.




Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Support extracurricular activities such as debates, drama, and writing clubs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification/license (if required by institution or country).
Strong command of spoken and written English.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
