Position Summary:
The Captain plays a key supervisory role in ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations and delivering a consistently high-quality guest experience. The role involves supervising the service team, coordinating with kitchen and bar departments, and upholding Bastian Hospitality’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Experience
Greet guests warmly, ensure prompt seating, and oversee overall table service quality.
Anticipate guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
Ensure every guest receives a memorable dining experience aligned with Bastian Hospitality’s brand standards.





Team Supervision
Lead, train, and motivate the service team to deliver exceptional service.
Allocate tables, assign duties, and supervise order-taking and food service.
Conduct pre-service briefings to communicate menu changes, promotions, and special events.

Operations & Coordination
Ensure timely coordination between kitchen, bar, and service teams for smooth order flow.
Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and overall ambiance.
Maintain inventory of service equipment and ensure proper handling of cutlery, glassware, and linen.

Sales & Upselling
Promote menu specials, beverages, and desserts to maximize sales.
Support the restaurant manager in achieving revenue and profitability targets.

Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and grooming standards.
Follow company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service delivery.
