The Semiconductor & Electronics Business Unit (SEBU) Systems R&D; team within Emerson’s Test & Measurement Group is looking for a Senior Engineer to drive innovation at the intersection of software and semiconductor validation. This role focuses on architecting and building scalable automation frameworks that combine system-level software and measurement intellectual property for Mixed Signal and RF semiconductor IC validation. You will contribute to end-to-end solution development—from specifications to automation, data, and analytics—while collaborating with global R&D;, product, and customer-facing teams to shape next-generation offerings.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Architect and develop framework solutions for semiconductor and electronics lab automation across Mixed Signal and RF domains
Integrate National Instruments (NI) software tools to create comprehensive workflows for product characterization and validation
Design solutions that enable seamless transitions from specification to automation, data acquisition,
and analytics to enhance product quality
Own system features or full systems, leading them from definition through successful release
Collaborate with global R&D; teams on feature alignment, dependencies, and customer-critical issues
Develop reusable IP and features for scalability across systems and future prospects
Follow established software development processes and best practices for design and implementation- Provide technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions while balancing technical and business priorities- Identify and drive architecture and process improvements to enhance long-term product quality and efficiency
Represent customer requirements and ensure alignment with product priorities
Lead resolution of critical issues and customer concerns
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering learning and development
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
