Responsible for managing Purchase, Vendor Development, Subcontract Operations and Stores activities for the CNC/VMC Machine Shop, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, tools, consumables and subcontract components while maintaining cost, quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for Purchase, Vendor Development, Subcontract and Stores activities for the CNC/VMC Machine Shop.
- Plan and procure raw materials, cutting tools, consumables, fixtures and machining components based on production requirements.
- Develop, evaluate and manage vendors for quality, cost and on-time delivery.
- Handle subcontract processes such as CNC/VMC machining, grinding, heat treatment and surface treatment.
- Monitor POs, material shortages, subcontract orders and delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper material receipt, storage, issue, stock control and FIFO in Stores.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely material availability to production.
- Handle SAP activities related to Purchase, Inventory and Subcontract.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Quality, Engineering and Finance for smooth operations.
- Drive cost reduction, vendor development,



inventory control and delivery improvement.
- Lead the SCM team and ensure day-to-day activities are completed effectively.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related discipline.
- MBA/PG qualification in Supply Chain / Operations will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in Purchase, Vendor Development, Subcontract Management and Stores in a CNC/VMC or precision machining manufacturing workplace.
- Strong experience in handling machining vendors and subcontractors.
- Practical knowledge of SAP, MRP, inventory control and procurement processes.
- Experience in coordinating with Production, PPC, Quality and Engineering teams.
