Key Responsibilities
Perform and interpret Ultrasound/USG, X-ray, CT Scan, MRI, and other diagnostic imaging examinations as available.
Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports.
Perform and supervise ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and other relevant studies.
Review and interpret imaging findings and communicate significant or critical findings promptly to treating clinicians.
Guide radiology technicians and ensure high standards of image quality and patient safety.
Assist clinicians in diagnosis and treatment planning through expert radiological consultation.
Perform image-guided procedures, where applicable and within the scope of expertise.
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record maintenance.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, including PCPNDT Act provisions where applicable.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, CMEs, and departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
MBBS with MD/DNB/DMRD in Radiodiagnosis/Radiology from a recognized institution.
Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
Relevant post-qualification experience in a hospital or diagnostic centre is preferred.
