Role Description:

The Assistant Chef(Comme I or II) role at Lanvaus Private Limited is a full time remote position supporting culinary operations for internal events, client-facing demonstrations, and team functions. The Assistant Chef will help plan menus, prepare ingredients, cook dishes according to standardized recipes, and ensure consistent taste and presentation. Daily responsibilities include maintaining kitchen organization, following food safety and hygiene standards, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with vendors as needed. The role also involves supporting the Head Chef with testing current recipes, adapting menus for dietary requirements, and documenting preparation processes so they can be replicated reliably in different locations. The Assistant Chef is expected to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly in a remote workplace, and manage time efficiently to meet event and delivery schedules.

Qualifications
Culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, plating,



and basic baking or pastry work.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, kitchen sanitation, and safe food storage practices.
Inventory and kitchen management skills, including ingredient tracking, portion control, and cost awareness.
Menu planning and recipe development skills, with the ability to adapt dishes for dietary restrictions and preferences.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote setup.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with chefs, event organizers, and cross-functional teams.
Prior experience as an Assistant Chef, Line Cook, or similar role; experience in catering or corporate events is an advantage.
Formal culinary training, certification, or relevant vocational qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Comfort using digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and remote coordination.
