Role & responsibilities

Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and proactive Safety Engineer to ensure a safe and compliant workplace by identifying hazards, implementing effective safety controls, and promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in safety inspections, risk assessment, incident investigation, compliance, and employee safety training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular workplace/site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Prepare and implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor PPE usage, work permits, housekeeping, and safe working practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and employee safety training.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, and evacuation drills.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.




- Track safety performance indicators and prepare periodic safety reports.
- Stop or escalate unsafe work when necessary to prevent injury or damage.
- Promote continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.

Required Qualifications / Experience:

- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 25 years of relevant experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Valuable knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, PPE, work permits, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication, observation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with site/project teams.
- Experience in architectural or facade lighting projects
