Role Description The Reporter will work full time, on-site in Bengaluru, contributing to Clear Haze Exchange’s coverage of sustainability and energy efficiency topics. This role involves researching and pitching story ideas aligned with the podcast’s themes, conducting interviews with subject-matter experts and stakeholders, and transforming findings into clear, engaging written and multimedia content.

The Reporter will attend relevant events and briefings, gather information from multiple sources, and fact-check all materials for accuracy and clarity. Day-to-day tasks include writing news-style stories and episode briefs, collaborating with the host and production team on show segments,



preparing interview questions, and supporting social media and digital publishing efforts to widen audience reach. The role requires close coordination with producers and editors to ensure that all content reflects the mission of making sustainability concepts accessible and compelling.

Qualifications

- Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to identify angles, gather information, and produce accurate, timely stories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex sustainability topics in transparent, engaging language.
- Proficiency in writing for digital platforms and scripts, including structured episode notes, articles, and interview questions.
- Basic multimedia skills (e.g., audio familiarity, simple visuals, social content) to support podcast and online storytelling.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research, verify facts, and use credible sources in coverage.
- Interest or experience in sustainability, climate, or energy efficiency reporting is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate within a small creative team, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
