- Scalable Graph Analytics and GNNs

Our recent research includes systems for MCP-enabled agentic workflows on FaaS platforms , multi-cloud deployment of agentic workflows , characterization of FaaS workflows on public clouds , DNN performance and energy modeling on edge accelerators , and quantum-classical FaaS workflows on hybrid clouds .

About the Role

At DREAM:Lab, you will help design, build, evaluate, and deploy next-generation software platforms and middleware for emerging distributed applications. The work spans cloud data centers, edge accelerators such as Jetson and GPUs, HPC clusters, and quantum backends , with applications in domains of national and societal importance.

The projects involve close collaboration with PhD students, industry partners, and national agencies, offering exposure to both fundamental research challenges and real-world deployments.

Research Themes The positions will contribute to one or more of the following areas:

- Agentic workflow orchestration platforms for multi-cloud and serverless environments
- FaaS middleware and orchestration systems for scalable, adaptive,

and cost-efficient execution
- Cloud-edge-HPC platforms for AI, autonomous systems, and data-intensive applications
- Accelerator-aware ML systems for efficient LLM, DNN, and GNN training and inference
- Quantum-classical middleware for hybrid workflows and future computing platforms
- Federated learning and LLM routing systems across heterogeneous edge devices and accelerators
- Scalable Graph Analytics and GNNs with applications to Fintech and intelligent transportation

Application Domains You will work on systems and algorithms applied to areas such as:

- Hybrid cloud, quantum, and HPC-enabled applications
- Drones, UAVs, and autonomous systems
- Urban mobility and intelligent transportation
- Fintech analytics and blockchain platforms

Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

- Build scalable software platforms, middleware, and distributed algorithms
- Develop and optimize prototypes for agentic workflows, FaaS platforms, and ML systems
- Evaluate LLM, GNN, and DNN workloads on cloud, edge, and accelerator hardware
- Conduct experiments on real cloud platforms, edge devices, GPU clusters, and hybrid testbeds
- Contribute to high-quality research publications in systems, cloud, edge, HPC and AI venues
- Collaborate closely with PhD students, faculty, and external partners

Past research staff from DREAM:Lab have successfully transitioned to higher studies at leading global universities.
