Job Title: Quality Engineer Ceiling Fan & TPW Line

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring quality standards and process compliance across the Ceiling Fan and TPW production lines, including incoming material, in-process inspection, final inspection, testing, and customer complaint analysis.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Monitor and control quality standards across Ceiling Fan and TPW production lines.
- Conduct Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC) of raw materials, components, electrical parts, motors, assemblies, and bought-out items.
- Perform In-Process Quality Inspection (IPQC) at critical stages of production.
- Ensure proper inspection of Ceiling Fan and TPW assembly processes as per approved specifications and work instructions.
- Conduct Final Quality Inspection (FQC) before dispatch of finished products.
- Monitor critical quality parameters such as motor performance, winding, insulation, electrical connections, noise, vibration, RPM, current, voltage, air delivery, balancing, and overall product performance, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with approved quality standards, drawings, specifications, SOPs, control plans, and inspection standards.
- Identify process defects, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Use 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and other quality improvement techniques for problem-solving.
- Maintain and update Quality Check Sheets, Inspection Reports, Rejection Reports, NCRs, CAPA Reports, and other quality records.
- Monitor line rejection, rework,



defects, and process losses and work with Production to reduce them.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D;, Purchase, Stores, and Maintenance for resolution of quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and availability of measuring and testing instruments used on the production line.
- Conduct regular process audits and product audits to ensure adherence to defined quality standards.
- Ensure proper segregation, identification, and control of rejected, reworked, and OK materials.
- Analyze customer complaints and coordinate with concerned departments for root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement and quality improvement initiatives on Ceiling Fan and TPW lines.
- Train production operators and inspectors on quality standards, inspection methods, defect identification, and process controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, statutory, and company requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and present key quality performance indicators to management.
- Drive reduction in customer complaints, rejection, rework, and process defects through effective quality control.
