Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of robotic and industrial automation systems manufactured and integrated by Anzo Controls.

The candidate will be responsible for incoming inspection, in-process quality, final inspection, testing, documentation, non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across automation projects.

The role will involve close coordination with Design, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC/Controls, Production, Stores, Procurement, Project Management, and Site Installation teams to ensure that automation equipment meets defined quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Incoming Quality Inspection
- Inspect incoming mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and automation components.
- Verify materials against PO, BOM, drawings, specifications, and approved vendor requirements.
- Inspect items such as sensors, motors, gearboxes, drives, PLCs, HMIs, cables, pneumatic components, structural parts, fabricated components, and other automation equipment.
- Maintain incoming inspection records and identify non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for rejected or discrepant materials.

- In-Process Quality Control

- Conduct quality inspections at different stages of machine/system assembly.
- Verify mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, panel assembly, cable routing, component mounting, labeling, and workmanship.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, BOMs, SOPs, checklists, and quality standards.
- Identify defects at an early stage and coordinate corrective action with the concerned department.

- Final Inspection & Testing

- Carry out final inspection of completed robotic and automation systems before dispatch.




- Prepare and execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), FAT checklists, and quality checklists.
- Verify machine functionality, safety systems, sensors, actuators, electrical panels, controls, and automation sequences.
- Coordinate with PLC/Controls and Project teams during FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).
- Ensure all quality observations are closed before dispatch.
- Verify packing and dispatch readiness of equipment.

- Robotics & Automation Quality

- Inspect robotic systems, conveyors, shuttles, grippers, fixtures, automated storage systems, and other automation equipment.
- Check mechanical alignment, mounting, tolerances, cable management, sensor positioning, and system integration.
- Support testing of automated movements and sequences from a quality perspective.
- Identify potential reliability, safety, and maintainability issues before equipment reaches the customer site.

- Final Inspection Reports
- FAT Reports
- Quality Checklists
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Corrective Action Reports
- Calibration Records
- Supplier Quality Records
- Customer Quality Documentation
- Maintain proper quality records for each project.

- Supplier Quality
- Support supplier evaluation and quality improvement activities.
- Monitor recurring supplier quality issues.




- Conduct supplier inspection or coordinate third-party inspection where required.
- Provide feedback to Purchase and suppliers regarding quality problems.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality, Automation, Robotics, Machine Building, Industrial Automation, or a similar engineering environment.
- Experience in inspection and testing of electrical and mechanical assemblies will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in robotics, automation machines, conveyors, shuttle systems, ASRS, control panels, or machine integration will have an advantage.

Required Technical Skills

- Good understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
- Understanding of electrical panels, wiring, sensors, motors, drives, PLCs, and industrial automation components.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Understanding of FAT, SAT, ITP, NCR, CAPA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 principles.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in robotics and industrial automation projects.
- Knowledge of PLC-based automation systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
- Experience with customer inspections and FAT.
- Knowledge of welding/fabrication quality and machining processes.
- Knowledge of calibration and measuring instruments.
- Experience working with project-based manufacturing environments.
