Frequent travel to jewellery manufacturing factories in Mumbai will be required. Occasional travel to other cities may also be required.
Experience:
4–6 Years of relevant experience in jewellery quality assurance / quality control.
Qualification:
- GIA / IGI Certification is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of jewellery quality standards and manufacturing processes
- Fluent English communication is mandatory
Compensation: ₹11–14 LPA, based on experience and suitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections of finished and semi-finished jewellery at manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure jewellery meets defined quality, workmanship, finishing and brand standards.
- Inspect diamonds/gemstones, metal quality, setting, polishing, finishing and overall product appearance.
- Identify quality issues, manufacturing defects and deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Work closely with factory production, QC and merchandising teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Perform pre-production, in-process and final quality checks as required.
- Maintain quality inspection reports and documentation.
- Monitor recurring quality issues and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure suppliers/factories consistently meet required quality standards.
- Travel to factories for inspections, quality audits and production follow-ups.
- Communicate quality observations and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a detail-oriented jewellery professional who has strong practical knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and quality inspection, along with the confidence to independently communicate with factories and internal teams.
Must Have:
- 4–6 years of relevant jewellery QA/QC experience
- GIA / IGI certification
- Fluent English speaking and communication skills
- Solid understanding of jewellery manufacturing and quality parameters
- Willingness to travel frequently to Mumbai and occasionally to other manufacturing locations
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
