PRT EVS Teacher Job Summary:

Savani Riverside
School is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated PRT EVS Teacher to teach Environmental Studies to students at the Primary level. The ideal candidate should be able to make learning engaging and meaningful through activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-based teaching methods. The teacher will be responsible for developing students' understanding of their surroundings, nature, environment, community, and everyday life while fostering curiosity and responsible citizenship.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Implementation
- Plan and deliver engaging EVS lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic framework.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and learning resources.
- Connect EVS concepts with students' daily lives and real-world experiences.
- Integrate environmental awareness, sustainability, and life skills into classroom learning.
- Follow the prescribed curriculum, academic calendar, and assessment plan.
Teaching & Learning
- Conduct interactive and student-centered EVS lessons using storytelling, demonstrations, experiments, activities, discussions, and visual aids.
- Encourage students to observe, explore, question, investigate, and develop critical-thinking skills.
- Use hands-on and experiential learning methods wherever appropriate.
- Incorporate multimedia, digital resources, educational videos, and presentations to enhance learning.
- Cater to different learning abilities and provide additional support to students when required.
Experiential & Activity-Based Learning
- Organize nature walks, field observations, classroom experiments, projects, and educational activities.
- Encourage students to participate in activities related to plants, animals, food, water, air, family, community, transport, safety, and the environment.
- Conduct EVS-related celebrations and awareness activities such as Environment Day and Earth Day.
- Encourage students to develop environmentally responsible habits.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare and conduct class tests, worksheets, projects, activities, and other assessments.
- Regularly monitor students' academic progress and learning outcomes.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate academic records, assessment records, and attendance.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and implement suitable interventions.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage respectful communication, teamwork, cooperation, and responsible behavior.
- Ensure effective classroom routines and student engagement.
- Promote curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independent learning.
Student Development & Support
- Provide individual attention and academic support to students as required.
- Encourage students to develop observation, communication, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Support the overall social, emotional, and academic development of students.
- Maintain a safe and child-friendly learning environment.
Parent Communication
- Maintain positive and professional communication with parents.
- Share students' academic progress, classroom participation, and areas requiring improvement.
- Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings and other parent interactions.
- Work with parents to support students' learning and development.
Collaboration & School Activities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school administration to ensure effective academic planning.
- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, exhibitions, competitions, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
- Support science, environmental,
and awareness-related school initiatives.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and professional development activities.
Documentation & Adherence to Policies
- Maintain lesson plans, teaching records, assessment records, and other academic documentation.
- Follow all school policies, academic procedures, child-safety guidelines, and the employee code of conduct.
- Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline with B.Ed. (Essential).
- D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / equivalent teacher-training qualification will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong knowledge of EVS and Primary Education will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience as a Primary Teacher, preferably teaching EVS.
- Experience in a reputed CBSE school will be preferred.
- Fresh candidates with excellent communication skills and strong teaching aptitude may also be considered.

- Robust understanding of EVS concepts and Primary-level pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to simplify concepts and make learning interesting for young learners.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Creative and innovative approach to teaching.
- Ability to use activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-based learning methods.
- Good lesson planning and assessment skills.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, smart boards, and online learning platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching children.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Working Hours 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or as per school requirements.

Salary Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
