ROLE: PRODUCTION ENGINEER / MANAGER

Location: Sinner, Nashik

Department: Production

Experience: 2–4 Years (Preferred)

Job Summary:

To take end-to-end responsibility for production operations. We are looking for a skilled Production Engineer/ Manager with hands-on experience in Soldering & Tin. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards and performing precision soldering work as per company requirements.

The role will be responsible for production planning, manpower deployment, process control, machine utilisation, yield improvement, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production as per customer and business requirements.
- Convert production plans into shop-floor activities and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor production output, downtime, rejection and productivity.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery and raw materials.
- Maintain production records and MIS.

2. Tin & Solder Manufacturing Process

- Manage manufacturing processes involving tin, solder alloys, lead/tin alloys and related products.
- Understand melting, alloying, casting, cooling, finishing and packing processes.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, composition, melting time and casting conditions.
- Ensure correct material charging and adherence to approved formulations / specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams for chemical composition and product conformity.

3. Process & Quality Control

- Ensure production is carried out as per defined SOPs and process parameters.
- Minimise rejection, rework, wastage and material loss.
- Investigate production-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain batch traceability and production documentation.
- Work closely with QA/QC on customer specifications and product quality.

Manpower Management

- Allocate operators and helpers across production activities.
- Supervise and guide shop-floor personnel.
- Monitor manpower productivity and discipline.
- Identify training requirements and develop operator capability.
- Ensure proper shift handovers and communication.

5. Machinery & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Reduce production downtime through timely identification of equipment issues.
- Ensure machines are operated within recommended parameters.
- Participate in commissioning and installation of new production equipment.

6. Raw Material & Yield Management

- Ensure optimum utilisation of tin, solder metals, alloys and other production inputs.
- Monitor material consumption against standard norms.
- Track yield, recovery, process loss and wastage.
- Identify opportunities to improve metal recovery and reduce production losses.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for production-related material availability.

7. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to plant safety procedures.
- Ensure operators use appropriate PPE and follow secure working practices.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Identify production-related safety risks and take corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and statutory requirements.

8. Continuous Improvement

- Identify bottlenecks and improve production cycle time.
- Implement productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.




- Improve machine utilisation and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Develop and improve SOPs and work instructions.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
- Certification in soldering (IPC standards preferred) is an added advantage.

Technical Knowledge Candidate should ideally have hands-on exposure to:

- Tin / solder / lead alloy manufacturing
- Melting and casting processes
- Furnace operations
- Alloy preparation and composition control
- Production planning
- Yield and recovery calculation
- Process loss control
- Preventive maintenance coordination
- Quality control
- Shop-floor manpower management
- SOP and process documentation
- 5S / Kaizen / Lean manufacturing

Critical Requirement This is a hands-on manufacturing role. The candidate should have actual shop-floor production experience and should be capable of independently managing production activities, operators, process parameters and production problems.

Candidates with only planning, documentation, ERP or supervisory experience without substantial manufacturing exposure will not be prioritised.

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
