ABOUT INVENTAA

Inventaa LED Light Private Limited is a Chennai-based LED lighting manufacturer with two decades of experience in designing and producing lighting products for homes, industry and outdoor environments. Our factory at Pallikaranai & Oragadam runs an integrated setup — SMT and PCB assembly, injection moulding, driver electronics, and solar. We build products that last, and we build teams the same way — for the long term.

1. Process and machine ownership

- Set up and run 50–200T injection moulding machines producing PC parts, single and multi-cavity.
- Set process parameters from a blank sheet on a new mould — injection velocity, holding pressure and time, back pressure, cooling time, cushion. Document the golden parameters for repeatability.
- Reduce cycle time on existing running parts without increasing rejection. Target 5–10% cycle-time reduction on at least three parts per year.
- Track OEE per machine per shift

2. Quality and defect handling

- First-off inspection sign-off on every mould change-over and every shift start-up.
- Diagnose PC-specific defects at the machine — splay marks, yellowing, sink, warp, weld-line weakness, stress cracks — and correct before continuing production.
- Coordinate with Quality on any defect trend that leaves the moulding cell.
- Own the moulding rejection register — daily reject count by part, by cause, by mould, by machine, by operator.

3. Mould and tool coordination

- Independently plan and execute mould change-overs including water-line, ejector setup, safety checks, dry cycle, first-shot verification.
- Coordinate mould preventive maintenance schedule with the tool room
- Escalate mould wear and rework needs early — never let a marginal mould run to full breakdown.
- Support current mould trials on new product introductions — coordinate with NPD on shot weight, cycle-time targets, quality gate.

4. Manpower and shift discipline

- Own a shift of 6–10 operators and helpers.



Run the daily line-up meeting.
- Train new operators on machine SOPs, PPE, safety interlocks, and quality gate expectations. Maintain the skill matrix.
- Handle absenteeism at the line level — reallocate work, escalate patterns to HR only when needed.
- Enforce 5S in the moulding area. Maintain the workplace as if a buyer audit is tomorrow.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 3 of the 4–5 years must be hands-on PC moulding, not commodity plastics (PP, PE, ABS, PS)
- Preferred: Post-Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (CIPET), or B.E. Plastics Technology.
- Acceptable: B.E. Mechanical with 4+ years of demonstrated hands-on PC moulding tenure.
- Genuine academic understanding of polymer rheology, mould design basics, drying science, gate and runner design.
- Can independently run a shift and take decisions without waiting for the Head.
- Commutable to Pallikaranai daily. If outstation, willing to relocate to South Chennai within 30 days of joining.
- Communication in Tamil (mandatory, for shop floor) and functional English (for documentation and inter-department coordination).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with insert moulding or over-moulding, common in LED lens and heat-sink assemblies.
- MoldFlow / Autodesk Moldflow Insight simulation exposure — even at a basic level.
- Prior work in an LED lighting, automotive lighting, medical device or optical products company where PC is the primary material.
- SPC, poka-yoke, Kaizen or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience coordinating with buyer audits —ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
- Preferred: Post-Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (CIPET), or B.E. Plastics Technology.
- Can independently run a shift and take decisions without waiting for the Head.
- Communication in Tamil (mandatory, for shop floor) and functional English (for documentation and inter-department coordination).

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
