Product Owner – Weighing & Dispensing

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Owner – Weighing & Dispensing (W&D;) to own the end-to-end lifecycle, roadmap, compliance, operations, and transformation of the global W&D; digital capability across a manufacturing network.

The role will act as the primary Digital partner to the Global Weighing & Dispensing Business Process Owner (BPO) and will ensure that W&D; solutions remain reliable, compliant, scalable, and aligned with manufacturing requirements.

The role covers Siemens Opcenter W&D; as the current primary platform and Tulip-based W&D; capabilities as part of the future digital manufacturing roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Own and maintain the global W&D; product strategy and multi-year roadmap.
- Prioritize enhancements, compliance requirements, releases, lifecycle activities, and transformation initiatives.
- Balance business value, operational stability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Define the future-state W&D; digital landscape.

Application & Service Ownership

- Own the lifecycle of Siemens Opcenter W&D; and Tulip W&D; solutions.
- Ensure application availability, reliability, performance, and supportability.
- Govern incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Monitor service levels and operational KPIs.
- Lead major incident resolution and business continuity activities.

Business Partnership

- Partner closely with the Global W&D; Business Process Owner.
- Translate business requirements and priorities into digital product roadmaps.
- Drive standardization and harmonization of W&D; processes across manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain, Digital,



and other stakeholders.

GxP Compliance & Validation

- Ensure W&D; platforms remain GxP compliant throughout their lifecycle.
- Maintain audit and inspection readiness.
- Support computerized system validation activities.
- Ensure adherence to data integrity, audit trail, and quality requirements.
- Drive remediation activities arising from audits, inspections, or compliance assessments.

Vendor Management

- Manage Siemens and other strategic vendors/implementation partners.
- Govern vendor performance, service quality, and delivery commitments.
- Manage enhancements, bug fixes, patches, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
- Coordinate support, escalations, upgrades, and validation activities.
- Ensure vendor roadmaps align with business and product requirements.

Digital Transformation

- Support the Siemens Opcenter separation and takeover program.
- Define the strategy for establishing a sustainable and independent W&D; solution.
- Ensure business continuity during the transition.
- Support future-state W&D; capabilities, Tulip deployments, and rollout initiatives.
- Drive user adoption and value realization.

Required Experience

- 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Systems, MES, Weighing & Dispensing, Manufacturing Operations, or Digital Manufacturing.
- Experience managing business-critical applications in regulated industries.
- Hands-on understanding of manufacturing operations and shopfloor processes.




- Experience with application lifecycle management and transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing software vendors and external service providers.
- Experience working in GxP-regulated environments.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong understanding of Weighing & Dispensing business processes.
- Solid understanding of MES / manufacturing execution and shopfloor operations.
- Experience with Siemens Opcenter W&D; or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of GxP, validation, and data integrity.
- Understanding of integrations/data exchanges between W&D;, ERP, MES, and manufacturing systems.
- Experience managing global, multi-site applications.
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Note: This is a Product Ownership role rather than a pure technical/application support role. The Product Owner owns the W&D; capability and roadmap, while technical architecture remains with Enterprise Architecture and much of the delivery is executed through vendors and implementation partners.
