Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated network test cases using Python and PyATS.

Automate functional, protocol, and regression testing .

Validate L2/L3 network protocols and features.

Use IXIA/Spirent for traffic generation and network validation.

Analyze logs, packet captures, and test failures using Linux tools.

Debug failures and collaborate with development teams for RCA and resolution .

Maintain automation code and test infrastructure using Git .

Improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience in Network Testing & Automation .

Hands-on knowledge of L2/L3 protocols :

- VLAN, STP, ARP
- Routing, OSPF, BGP, HSRP

Strong understanding of DHCP – DORA, Relay, Snooping.



Good knowledge of Multicast – IGMP, IGMP Snooping, PIM.

Strong Python scripting skills for parsing and test automation.

Hands-on experience with PyATS , including Testbed YAML and Genie Parsers .

Experience in test case development and regression automation .

Hands-on experience with IXIA / Spirent .

Strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including tcpdump, logs, and network debugging.

Good understanding of Git – Rebase, Merge Conflicts, branching and version control.

Strong debugging, issue analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
