Job Purpose To supervise and control day-to-day pharmaceutical packing activities while ensuring production targets, GMP requirements, quality standards, safety procedures, and documentation are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage primary and secondary packing activities for tablets/capsules.
Ensure packing operations are carried out as per approved BMR/BPR, SOPs and packing instructions.
Allocate manpower and monitor the performance of packing operators and helpers.
Ensure proper line clearance before starting and after completion of packing activities.
Verify packaging materials, product details, batch number, manufacturing/expiry dates and coding requirements.
Monitor packing machines and equipment for proper operation and coordinate with Engineering for breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with *GMP, GDP, safety and company quality requirements.
Maintain proper housekeeping and hygiene in the packing area.
Ensure reconciliation of packaging materials and finished packed goods.
Check and maintain packing-related documentation and records accurately.
Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse/Store and Engineering departments for smooth production operations.
Report deviations, breakdowns, rejection, damage, mix-up or any abnormality immediately to the concerned department/HOD.
Ensure prevention of product mix-up and cross-contamination.
Monitor packing output, rejection, wastage and productivity against planned targets.
Ensure proper handling, identification and storage of rejected/unused packaging materials.
Train and guide operators regarding SOPs, GMP,
safety and machine operation.
Ensure PPE compliance and safe working practices in the packing area.
Support investigation of deviations, incidents and CAPA related to packing operations.
Ensure timely completion of batch documentation and submission to QA.
Maintain discipline and proper conduct of manpower in the packing department.
Key Skills

Working Conditions
Full-time position in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/packing setting.
Shift duty may be applicable as per production requirements.
Strict compliance with GMP, hygiene, safety and company policies is mandatory.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
