Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete in-house payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Handle monthly payroll inputs including attendance, bonuses, incentives, LOP, etc.
Ensure timely filing and compliance with statutory returns such as:
ECR filing (EPFO)
Form 24Q (TDS return on salaries)
ESIC returns
Skilled Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and other applicable regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments for payroll inputs and with external consultants, if any, for audits and statutory updates.
Prepare and verify salary registers, payslips, and reconciliation statements.
Keep abreast of changes in labor laws, tax rules, and government notifications impacting payroll.
Manage employee queries related to salary, tax, and statutory deductions.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all payroll and compliance-related activities.
Support internal and statutory audits with required reports and data.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field; MBA/PGDM in HR or Finance preferred.
Minimum 6 years of experience in in-house payroll processing and statutory compliance.
Robust working knowledge of payroll software and MS Excel.
In-depth understanding of Indian payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory filings.
Experience with TDS returns (Form 24Q), EPFO (ECR), and ESIC.
