Position: Operations Executive – Freight Forwarding

About the Role

PSL Arabia is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive with hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day import and export shipments, documentation, shipment tracking, customer communication, and coordination with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, and overseas agents.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day import and export freight forwarding operations for Air and Sea shipments.
- Coordinate shipment bookings with shipping lines, airlines, consolidators, and overseas agents.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bill of Lading (B/L), Airway Bill (AWB), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Shipping Instructions.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, transporters, CFS, shipping lines, and other service providers.
- Monitor shipment schedules, vessel/flight details, cut-off dates, and delivery status.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with clients and overseas agents to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Follow up on customs clearance and required shipment documentation.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, job files, reports, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance team regarding vendor invoices, customer billing, and operational payments.
- Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate critical matters to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, shipping procedures, and applicable customs/trade regulations.
- Maintain good working relationships with customers,



carriers, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes and service quality.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping / Logistics Operations.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in Air Freight and/or Sea Freight operations are preferred.
- Good knowledge of Import & Export procedures and freight forwarding documentation.
- Knowledge of shipping lines, container operations, customs procedures, and logistics processes.
- Experience in customer coordination and shipment tracking.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills in English; Malayalam is an added advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and work effectively under pressure.
- Robust attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with freight forwarding software / ERP / shipment management systems.
- Knowledge of shipping line products, freight terms, port and customs regulations.
- Experience handling both import and export shipments.
- Prior experience coordinating with overseas agents and international customers.
