Turnmill Setter sets up and operates CNC turnmill machines to manufacture precision parts, requiring skills in reading blueprints, program setup (Fanuc/Siemens), tool setting, first-piece inspection, and troubleshooting, ensuring quality and efficiency by making adjustments and performing checks using precision instruments like calipers and micrometers.

Key Responsibilities

Setup & Operation: Prepare and run CNC turnmill machines, loading materials, setting tools, and making adjustments for different functions.

Programming: Understand and potentially edit machine programs (G-code) for optimal performance.

Quality Control: Perform first-piece inspections and in-process checks using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) to meet specifications.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance issues.

Maintenance:



Conduct routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical: CNC Programming, Blueprint Reading, Tool Setting, Precision Measurement, G-Code, Mechanical Aptitude.

Experience: Proven experience with CNC turnmill machines and controls (Fanuc/Siemens).

Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, dependability, teamwork.

Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (DME/BE) or relevant certification often preferred.
