JOB DESCRIPTION – BAKERY & SNACKS PRODUCTION CHEF Position: Bakery & Snacks Production Chef Department: Production Location: MALABAR FOODS, Kakkavayal, Engappuzha, Kozhikode, Kerala Experience: 5–8 years Employment: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and skilled Bakery & Snacks Production Chef to manage the production of cookies, biscuits, buns, cakes, pastries, and traditional Kerala snacks. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistent taste, quality, hygiene, and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Plan and supervise daily bakery and snacks production. Prepare and standardize recipes for cookies, biscuits, buns, cakes, pastries, and Kerala snacks. Maintain consistent taste, texture, appearance, and product quality. Manage mixing, baking, frying, cooling, and finishing processes. Control raw material usage, wastage, and production costs. Train and supervise production staff. Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, GMP, and food safety practices. Monitor oven temperature, baking time, and production parameters. Develop new products and improve existing recipes.



Maintain production records and batch-wise quality checks. Coordinate with the Production Manager and Packing Team. Ensure production targets are achieved on time. Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of equipment and work areas. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial bakery production. Positive knowledge of Kerala traditional snacks. Recipe development and standardization skills. Knowledge of food costing and yield calculation. Positive team-management skills. Ability to work in a quick-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of FSSAI/GMP/HACCP practices is an advantage. Preferred Experience: Experience in a commercial bakery, bakery manufacturing unit, or food production company will be preferred. Salary: ₹40,000 per month, based on experience and expertise. Additional Benefits: Accommodation/food support may be provided as per company policy.
