Responsibilities
Meeting the EHS protocols & regulatory norms in force
Preparation of samples of raw materials and finished products for microscopic analysis
Analysis of polished samples for their microstructural features using polarized light microscope and identifying minerals/crystals
Analysing microscopy images to determine size of crystallites, annotate and quantify them using image analyzer
Make the sample as per standard of Finished product and Raw material
Quality Control of In-house ready shape products (RDS)
Testing & Timely reporting of Merchandise Products
Operation of carbon monoxide (CO) Gas Disintegration test facility
Handling of third party / customer for inspection of material
Meeting the ISO norms and reporting daily testing result
Maintaining test records
Maintaining the 5S standard in the workplace.
Requirements:
Education, background, level of experience
Qualification:
B.Sc.
(Industrial Chemistry), M.Sc. (Applied Chemistry), Diploma in Ceramics.
Work Experience:
3 years in a Ceramic / Refractory industry. Experience in the Refractory Monolithics / brick industry will be preferred.
Preferred: Work Experience in the Refractory Monolithics / brick industry.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge in Ceramics and Refractories
Knowledge in various refractory testing and characterization techniques
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Knowledge in mineralogy, crystallography and phase diagrams
Knowledge in refractory property – performance correlation
Hands-on experience in various testing and characterization methods pertaining to refractories.
