An Assistant Sales Manager for Air Compressors needs to be part technical expert and part relationship builder. Since air compressors are essential "industrial lungs" for factories, the role is heavily focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and energy efficiency rather than just the initial sticker price.
The Assistant Manager of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth within a designated territory or industry vertical. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle—from lead generation and technical auditing to closing deals and overseeing commissioning. A key focus is providing compressed air solutions (Screw, Reciprocating, or Oil-free) that optimize energy consumption for industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development: Identify and convert leads in sectors like Manufacturing, Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Textiles.
Technical Consulting: Conduct "Air Audits" to analyze a client's current air usage and propose productive system upgrades.
Channel Management:
Coordinate with dealers and distributors to ensure secondary sales targets are met and inventory is managed.
Key Account Management: Build long-term relationships with Project Consultants and Purchase Managers to ensure your brand is "specified" in recent factory tenders.
Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing, technology shifts (e.g., VFD technology), and lost-order analysis.
After-sales Synergy: Collaborate with the service team to promote Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and genuine spare parts sales.

Salary Range - 7 to 8 Lacs Per Annum
Pay: ₹13,506.95 - ₹48,531.96 per month
