Key Responsibilities:
Manage overall transportation operations and business development
Develop current customers and grow the transportation business in the Gandhidham market
Manage relationships with transporters, fleet owners and customers
Negotiate transportation rates and ensure competitive pricing
Coordinate vehicle placement, routing, loading and delivery
Monitor service quality, delivery timelines and operational efficiency
Manage transportation vendors and ensure availability of vehicles
Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Freight Forwarding teams
Monitor revenue, costs and profitability of the transportation business
Lead and manage the transportation team
Handle customer requirements, operational issues and escalations
Candidate Profile:
Relevant experience in Transportation / Logistics / Freight Forwarding
Strong experience in transportation operations + business development
Valuable knowledge of the Gandhidham / Kandla transportation market will be preferred
Strong transporter and fleet-owner network will be an advantage
Positive negotiation, customer relationship and team management skills
Ability to independently manage and grow the transportation vertical
