Key Responsibilities
Enforce rules under the Factories Act.
Monitor safety during woodworking, cutting, and chemical finishing (paints/adhesives).
Conduct daily shop floor safety audits and inspections.
Lead toolbox talks and new worker inductions.
Investigate accidents or near-misses and log reports.
Check correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like masks and earplugs.
Maintain fire safety equipment and run mock drills.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education:



Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety / Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).
Experience: 2–5 years in a manufacturing or factory setting.
Knowledge: Local factory acts, hazard identification (HIRA), and risk assessment.
Skills: Solid local language (Tamil/English) communication and incident reporting.
