The Planning Intern will support the team in organizing and improving the flow of movement within Railway Decongestion Study. This role involves a mix of field work (visiting sites) and office work (creating maps and drawings) to help reduce congestion.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Visits & Data Collection: Visit maintenance yards and other infrastructure to observe how vehicles and people move and collect data through surveys and audits.
GIS Documentation: Use GIS tools to document site assets and create maps that show current yard conditions.
AutoCAD Drawings: Help prepare 2D layout plans showing entry/exit points, yard layout, and railway tracks etc.
Spatial Analysis:
Assist the team in identifying "bottlenecks" or crowded areas where movement is blocked.
Technical Support: Help organize site photos and notes into transparent reports and presentations.
Data Analysis: Support in basic analysis work related to spatial analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Studying or recently graduated in Planning, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
Working knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD and GIS software.
Willingness to travel for site visits and conduct hands-on data collection.
Ability to create easy, neat, and accurate drawings based on site observations and other references.
