Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer responsible for sourcing electrical, mechanical, and engineering materials, coordinating with suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, and ensuring timely procurement as per project and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end procurement of electrical, mechanical, automation, and engineering materials.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors.
Float enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers.
Compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, payment terms, and specifications.
Negotiate with vendors for the best commercial terms.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after management approval.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Follow up on pending orders and maintain proper purchase records.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, Projects, Design, Accounts, and other departments.
Verify material specifications, quantity,



and delivery requirements before placing orders.
Maintain vendor database, quotation records, comparative statements, and purchase reports.
Support vendor development and alternative sourcing for critical materials.
Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving prospects.
Ensure procurement is completed within approved budgets and timelines.

Required Skills
Good knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
Knowledge of electrical/mechanical/industrial materials will be preferred.
Robust negotiation and communication skills.
Positive knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Ability to prepare quotation comparisons and purchase reports.
Good follow-up and coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple requirements.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Pay: ₹16,586.42 - ₹70,000.00 per month
