Job Title: VTL Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VTL Operator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in operating a Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machine. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, component production, dimensional accuracy, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operate VTL machines efficiently as per production requirements.
Set up the machine, tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
Perform turning, facing, boring, grooving, and other machining operations.
Read and understand basic engineering drawings and job specifications.
Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ensure proper machine settings and maintain required dimensional accuracy.
Monitor machining operations and identify any abnormalities or defects.
Maintain production targets and quality standards.




Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.
Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area.
Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, and production issues to the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications
1–2 years of experience as a VTL Operator.
Hands-on experience with VTL machine operations.
Basic knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and fixtures.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
Positive understanding of shop-floor safety practices.
Willingness to work in shifts, if required.

Preferred Candidate Profile
ITI/Diploma in Machining, Fitter, Turner, or a related technical trade preferred.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, or blade/component manufacturing will be preferred.
Positive discipline, attendance, and ability to work in a team.
