Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with relevant field experience or related engineering discipline. • Relevant training in foundry operations, induction-furnace melting, or refractory and relining activities is essential.
Experience: • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in induction-furnace melting and furnace, ladle, or hopper relining operations.
• Supervisory experience in foundry, metallurgical, or ductile iron production is preferred. Skills:
• Technical Skills: - - - - Induction-furnace melting and ductile iron process control. Furnace, ladle, and hopper relining techniques. Molten-metal quality, composition, temperature, and treatment control. Production planning, equipment troubleshooting, and material-consumption control.
Key accountabilities: • Supervise daily Melting and Relining operations to achieve planned molten-metal output, quality, rejection, and consumption targets.
• Monitor furnace charging,
melting, composition adjustment, tapping, magnesium treatment, ladle preparation, and molten-metal delivery to ensure compliance with approved procedures and process parameters.
• Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures to maintain consistent molten-metal quality, temperature, chemical composition, and production performance.
• Plan manpower allocation, shift schedules, work assignments, leave coverage, and overtime requirements to maintain process continuity and workforce productivity.
• Supervise furnace, ladle, and hopper relining activities and ensure effective utilization of relining materials, tools, and resources.
