Software QA Engineer Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and REST APIs.
Perform functional, regression, sanity, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and Rest Assured.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Rest Assured, including request/response validation, status code verification, schema validation, authentication, and error handling scenarios.
Create and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data for API, UI, functional, integration, smoke, and regression testing.
Log, track, verify, and report defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ALM, and work closely with developers to support timely resolution.
Analyze regression execution results, prepare test summary reports, and communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,



Information Systems or Equivalent.
2+ years of industry experience in software testing, with solid hands-on experience in API testing and functional testing.
Strong experience in manual testing activities, including requirement analysis, test case design, test execution, defect reporting, regression testing, and UAT support.
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools, including validation of payloads, headers, authentication, response codes, and business rules.
Proven automation/scripting experience using Java with Rest Assured, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or JUnit.
Valuable understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, Agile testing practices, and test documentation.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ALM.
