Executive Medical Officer – Quality

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Lead – Clinical Governance, Medical Affairs & Quality

Role Purpose To provide clinical and quality support for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality, patient safety, accreditation, clinical governance, and medical affairs processes across Lord's Renal Centers.

The role will involve close coordination with physicians, nursing teams, center operations, and the quality team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Quality & Governance

- - Monitor clinical quality indicators and center-level performance.

- - Review clinical processes for adherence to defined protocols and standards.

- - Identify clinical quality gaps and coordinate improvement actions.

- - Support implementation of clinical governance initiatives.

- - Assist in reviewing clinical documentation and compliance.

1. NABH & Accreditation

- - Support NABH documentation and evidence collection.

- - Coordinate with centers for audit preparation and accreditation readiness.

- - Participate in internal quality audits and support external audits.

- - Track observations, non-conformities, CAPA, and closure status.

- - Ensure timely maintenance of quality and accreditation records.

1. Patient Safety & Incident Management

- - Monitor incidents, near misses, adverse events, and patient safety concerns.

- - Coordinate investigation and documentation of reported incidents.

- - Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.

- - Maintain patient safety logs and action trackers.

- - Identify recurring risks and support preventive measures.

1. Medical Affairs & Physician Coordination

- - Support physician credentialing and privileging activities.

- - Maintain physician records, licenses, qualifications, and renewal documentation.

- - Coordinate physician onboarding and periodic credential verification.

- - Support medical governance committee meetings.





- - Prepare agendas, minutes, presentations, and action trackers.

1. Quality Data & Reporting

- - Collect and validate quality and clinical data from centers.

- - Maintain dashboards, MIS reports, scorecards, and trackers.

- - Analyze trends in quality indicators and clinical performance.

- - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and management reports.

- - Escalate significant quality gaps and overdue corrective actions.

1. Training & Competency

- - Coordinate quality, patient safety, NABH, and clinical training programs.

- - Maintain staff training and competency records.

- - Support competency assessment and documentation.

- - Coordinate awareness sessions on clinical quality and patient safety.

1. Quality Improvement

- - Participate in quality improvement projects across centers.

- - Support implementation of standardization initiatives.

- - Monitor effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

- - Follow up with centers to ensure timely implementation and sustainability of improvements.

Required Qualification

- - MBBS/BDS

- - MHA / MBA in Healthcare Management / Hospital Administration preferred.

- - Certification in Healthcare Quality, NABH, Patient Safety, or related areas will be an advantage.

Experience

- 1–4 years of experience in hospital quality, NABH, medical administration, clinical operations, healthcare quality, or related healthcare functions.

Key Skills

- - Good understanding of NABH and healthcare quality standards.

- - Knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety practices.

- - Strong analytical and reporting skills.

- - Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation.

- - Good communication and coordination skills.

- - Solid attention to detail and follow-up.

- - Ability to work with doctors, nurses, quality teams, and center operations.

- - Willingness to travel to Lord's Renal centers as required.
