Role Description This is a full-time, in office Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer role based in Chennai. The MEP Engineer will design, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing and checking drawings, specifications, and calculations; coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines; and resolving technical issues during design and construction.

The role involves site inspections, monitoring installation quality, supporting testing and commissioning activities,



and preparing technical reports and documentation. The engineer will also assist in value engineering, cost estimation related to building services, and continuous improvement of MEP design and coordination processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Building Services skills for integrated building systems design and implementation.
- Candidates should possess solid Plumbing skills for water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, and related layout and sizing.
- Candidates should possess MEP Coordination skills for clash detection, services routing, and interdisciplinary coordination during design and construction.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills for power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems within building projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
- Experience in design and site execution of MEP systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with relevant international and local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools and MEP design software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and manage multiple project priorities within deadlines.
