Position: Foundation Mathematics Teacher – Classes IX–X

Position Overview The Foundation Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for delivering rigorous, concept-oriented Mathematics instruction for Classes IX–X, aligned with the CBSE curriculum, while building strong foundational skills for higher-order problem-solving and competitive examinations. The teacher should be able to simplify complex concepts, identify learning gaps and develop students’ mathematical reasoning and application skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for Classes IX and X in accordance with CBSE curriculum requirements.
- Strengthen students’ conceptual understanding and mathematical fundamentals.
- Develop students’ logical reasoning, analytical thinking, problem-solving and application skills.
- Prepare structured lesson plans, worksheets, practice materials, assignments and revision resources.
- Use activity-based, experiential and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
- Provide additional practice and academic support to students who require remediation.
- Challenge advanced learners through higher-order thinking questions and enrichment activities.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, unit tests, periodic tests and mock examinations.
- Analyse student performance and implement appropriate improvement strategies.
- Prepare students effectively for CBSE Class X Board examinations.
- Introduce foundation-level questions and problem-solving approaches that support future JEE/competitive-examination preparation, where applicable to the school programme.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress and interventions.
- Monitor individual student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.




- Collaborate with the Mathematics department to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, academic planning and school activities.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes, assessment patterns and modern Mathematics teaching practices.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics or a relevant discipline.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of Mathematics concepts for Classes IX–X.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to teach concepts from basic to advanced levels.
- Strong classroom-management and student-engagement skills.
- Ability to develop high-quality worksheets, question papers and study materials.
- Familiarity with CBSE assessment patterns and competency-based questions.
- Proficiency in smart-classroom tools and digital teaching resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor students and motivate them towards academic excellence.

Experience 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/reputed school is preferred, particularly experience teaching Classes IX–X. Experience in foundation programmes, Olympiad preparation or competitive-examination-oriented Mathematics will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a concept-driven, passionate and result-oriented Mathematics educator with the ability to build strong fundamentals while developing advanced problem-solving skills. The candidate should be capable of preparing students for CBSE Board examinations and creating a strong foundation for future competitive examinations.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
