Position Overview

As a Buyer, incumbent will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services essential to our mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilit ies

- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to understand equipment and materials requirements
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality products
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies while maintaining high-quality standards
- Monitor market trends,



industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform procurement decisions
- Manage inventory levels and optimize supply chain processes
- Resolve any issues or disputes related to procurement, including quality control and delivery schedules
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the mining industry

Incumbent pro file:
- Engineering degree with 12-15 years experience in buying, with a focus on mining industry related equipment and materials.
- Solid knowledge of the mining industry,(e.g., excavators, dumpers, conveyors, crushers, drilling equipment). including its equipment and spares requirements.
- International procurement exposure.

Annual Compensation: 18LPA
