Role Description The Maintenance Engineer – Weaving Sulzer Machine role is a full-time, on-site position based at Shankar TechX’s facility in Vadodara. This role involves performing routine and corrective maintenance on Sulzer weaving machines, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring minimal downtime of production equipment.
The Maintenance
Engineer will execute preventive maintenance schedules, monitor machine performance, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Responsibilities also include collaborating with production teams to plan repairs,
sourcing or coordinating spare parts, enforcing safety practices, and supporting process improvements to enhance machine efficiency and fabric quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance & Repair for textile machinery, especially Sulzer weaving machines.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including developing and following maintenance schedules.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance related to industrial weaving equipment and associated control systems.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Textile Engineering (or equivalent technical field).
- Experience working with weaving machines or similar textile production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to work in office in shifts as needed and collaborate effectively with operations and quality teams.
