About the Role
Smart Infocom (Smartix) is looking for a results-driven Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate cross-border logistics and supply chain operations across the UAE and GCC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing international shipments, coordinating with freight forwarders and carriers, handling customs documentation, monitoring deliveries and ensuring smooth logistics operations across GCC markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics coordination, shipment movements and customs clearance with the UAE Head Office and GCC branches.
- Handle end-to-end international shipments through air, sea and road transportation .
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, courier companies and 3PL providers.
- Compare freight quotations and negotiate competitive shipping rates.
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation including:
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Bills of Lading (B/L)
- Air Waybills (AWB)
- Certificates of Origin (COO)
- Customs Declarations
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations,
GCC import/export requirements and Incoterms 2020 .
- Track shipments from origin to final destination and proactively resolve delays or logistics issues.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, freight rate databases and logistics reports.
- Prepare regular shipment and logistics status reports for management.
- Use advanced Microsoft Excel for shipment tracking, logistics analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in UAE logistics, international freight, cross-border shipments and customs clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and GCC logistics operations.
- Professional proficiency in English, Hindi and Malayalam , both written and spoken.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data validation and Pivot Tables .
- Experience with logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain management software.
- Robust negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of logistics operations.
