Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor electrical works for ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Execute DC and AC electrical installation activities from module strings up to the grid interconnection point.
Supervise installation of solar modules, DC cables, string combiner boxes, inverters, AC cables, transformers, HT/LT panels and associated equipment.
Coordinate 11 kV/33 kV HT systems, pooling substations and power evacuation systems.
Review and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, cable schedules, BOQs and technical specifications.
Monitor cable trenching, cable laying, termination, jointing and cable testing activities.
Ensure proper installation of earthing and lightning protection systems.
Coordinate installation and testing of transformers, RMUs, switchgear, protection relays and associated electrical equipment.
Supervise pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and utility/DISCOM representatives.




Monitor project progress and ensure electrical activities are completed as per the project schedule.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, deviations and quality concerns.
Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable IS/IEC standards and project requirements.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain electrical site documentation.
Verify electrical materials received at site against approved specifications and BOQs.
Support inspection and testing of electrical equipment and maintain test reports.
Identify electrical faults and coordinate troubleshooting and rectification.
Monitor and close electrical punch points before project handover.
Coordinate with the SCADA team for electrical monitoring and communication systems.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety, LOTO, PTW, JSA and HSE requirements.
Support final documentation, as-built drawings, test certificates and commissioning records.
