:

As a Junior Site Speed & Performance Specialist, you will support the day-to-day monitoring and reporting of website performance across key tools (e.g., Datadog RUM/APM, SpeedCurve, Lighthouse). You will help identify performance regressions, maintain dashboards, support CRO A/B test performance checks, assist with release monitoring, help maintain a performance backlog in Jira, and provide recommendations to improve site speed and overall performance based on your findings and data insights. This role works closely with Engineering, CRO, Product, and Analytics teams and is designed to grow your skills in web performance and performance operations.

Purpose of the Job The purpose of this role is to help keep vidaXL webshops rapid and stable by ensuring performance is monitored consistently, regressions are flagged early, and performance insights are documented clearly and converted into actionable follow-ups. Your work contributes to improved Core Web Vitals, reduced performance regressions from releases/experiments, and better customer experience across key journeys.

Responsibilities / Core Tasks

Monitoring & Reporting

- Daily monitoring: Support daily checks of dashboards and alerts for key pages (Home, Search/PLP, PDP, Cart, Checkout) and help flag anomalies or regressions with supporting evidence.
- Weekly reporting support: Support preparation of weekly performance updates (charts/tables, deltas, first-level commentary) using defined templates and time windows.
- Core Web Vitals tracking: Support ongoing CWV monitoring (LCP, INP, CLS) by collecting data, identifying trends, and highlighting meaningful changes for review.
- Release monitoring support:



Support release performance monitoring by running pre and post checks for key pages, comparing agreed time windows, and helping summarize any impact or regressions with supporting evidence for stakeholder updates. Backlog & Follow-Up (Jira)Performance backlog support: Support creation and maintenance of Jira tickets for performance findings (regressions, heavy resources, third-party impact, controller-related observations). Ensure tickets include: Steps to reproduce Evidence (screenshots/waterfalls/metric deltas)Clear expected outcome / acceptance criteria Action tracking: Support ticket hygiene by keeping statuses updated, following up with owners as needed, and maintaining an “open actions” view to support weekly reporting.Documentation & Process
- Support maintaining and updating checklists, templates, and runbooks related to monitoring, CRO checks, and release monitoring.

Individual / Job-Specific

- Experience: 1–2 years in a relevant area (web performance, technical SEO, web analytics, QA, frontend support, or similar).
- Web performance fundamentals: Basic understanding of Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and common real-world causes.
- Tool familiarity: Comfortable using Lighthouse/PageSpeed Insights and Chrome DevTools (especially Network tab; basic waterfall reading).
- Analytical skills: Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (filters, pivots, basic charts) and ability to summarize data accurately.
- Communication: Can write clear, structured notes: what happened, impact, evidence, and suggested next steps.
- Ticketing & documentation discipline: Comfortable creating structured tickets and keeping them updated; familiarity with Jira is a plus.
- Attention to detail: Reliable execution of repeatable processes and checklists.Bonus Skills (Preferred but not Required)
- Jira knowledge: Creating/updating tickets, writing clear issue descriptions, adding evidence, using labels/components, and tracking progress through closure.
- Experience with Datadog (RUM/APM), SpeedCurve, or similar monitoring/observability tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, etc.).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript (enough to interpret performance drivers and communicate effectively with engineers).
- Familiarity with eCommerce funnels and sensitivity of PLP/PDP/Checkout performance.
- Basic awareness of CDN/caching concepts (cache hit, compression, TTL).
- Any exposure to SFCC storefront context or controller-level performance metrics (not required).
