About the Role

We are looking for a Magento 2 Developer with 2 years of hands-on experience to join our technology team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing our Magento e-commerce platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture, custom module development, plugins, observers, APIs, database management, Git, and Jira, along with good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Magento 2 e-commerce applications.
- Create and customize Magento 2 modules based on business requirements.
- Customize Magento functionality while following Magento coding standards.
- Work with Magento REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Develop and customize Magento checkout, cart, catalog, customer, and order functionality.
- Work with Magento database structure, including EAV and sales/order tables.
- Write and optimize MySQL queries when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Magento issues related to performance, functionality, extensions, and third-party integrations.
- Integrate and maintain third-party Magento extensions.
- Debug issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Use Git/GitHub for source-code management and follow proper branching and pull-request practices..
- Participate in deployment and release activities.
- Maintain technical documentation for custom developments and integrations.

Required Technical Skills

Magento 2

- 2 years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.
- Good understanding of Magento 2 architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Magento module structure.
- Experience creating custom Magento 2 modules from scratch.

PHP / Database

- Good knowledge of PHP and OOP concepts.
- Strong understanding of MySQL.
- Ability to write joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data-update queries.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
- Basic knowledge of Knockout.js is preferred.

Git / Jira

- Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
- Understanding of branches, merge/rebase, pull requests, conflict resolution, and code reviews.
- Experience using Jira for task and bug management.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Magento 2.4.x.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, shipping providers, ERP, CRM, or other third-party systems.
- Knowledge of Docker and Linux.
- Experience with Magento performance optimization.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues.
- Understanding of security best practices in e-commerce applications.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Key Expectations for the Role The candidate should be able to independently handle small-to-medium Magento 2 development tasks, including:

- Creating a custom Magento module.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
