Reporting To: Welding Supervisor / Quality Inspector

Job Purpose

To carry out welding of pressure components using TIG, SMAW, or GMAW processes as per

WPS and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

 Perform welding operations on mild steel, stainless steel, or alloy steels as per approved

WPS.

 Read welding symbols, process parameters, and drawing specifications.

 Set up welding equipment and select appropriate electrodes/wires and shielding gases.

 Ensure weld quality through visual inspection and adherence to welding sequence.

 Carry out root pass, fill pass, and capping as per procedure.

 Coordinate with fitters for proper joint preparation.

 Follow safety procedures and maintain PPE compliance.

 Record welding details in logbooks or production sheets.

Qualifications & Experience:

 ITI Welder / NCVT certified.





 3–6 years’ experience in TIG / SMAW / GMAW welding in heavy fabrication.

 Certified or qualified as per ASME / IS standards (preferred).

Skills

Proficiency in welding processes, joint preparation, electrode selection, arc control, and distortion control.

Site Facilities

 Accommodation: In employee’s scope.

 Travel from to Site: Quess will pay train / bus tickets only for selected candidates.

 Food: Available at a nominal charge at Site location:

o Breakfast: ₹3 per day o Lunch: ₹20 per day

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
