Role:

Junior Research & Developer – TEKLA: 2–4 years of relevant experience

Senior Research & Developer – TEKLA: 4+ years of relevant experience

This is a full-time, on-site R&D; role based in Bengaluru. The position focuses on developing, improving, and maintaining TEKLA-based tools, macros, components, templates, and automation solutions to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of structural steel detailing workflows.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Developing new and modifying existing TEKLA macros, plugins, and connection components.
- Setting up and configuring TEKLA tools according to fabricator and project-specific standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving TEKLA errors, technical issues, and workflow problems.
- Developing automation solutions to improve existing detailing and modeling workflows.
- Creating and modifying TEKLA templates, reports, and related files.
- Researching new TEKLA features, tools, and technologies and evaluating their application in production workflows.




- Identifying opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization.
- Testing, validating, and implementing newly developed tools and solutions.
- Coordinating with the TEKLA support team to resolve software-related issues and technical challenges.
- Working closely with engineers, detailers, and project teams to understand requirements and develop practical R&D; solutions.
- Maintaining proper documentation for developed tools, workflows, and technical solutions.
- Ensuring the reliability, consistency, and integrity of tools and data used across the organization.

Additional Responsibilities – Senior R&D;:

- Leading the development and implementation of TEKLA-based R&D; initiatives.
- Designing technical solutions for complex workflow and automation requirements.
- Reviewing and improving existing macros, tools, and automation systems.
- Guiding and mentoring junior R&D; team members.
- Coordinating with project and technical teams to identify areas for process improvement.
- Evaluating emerging TEKLA features and technologies and recommending suitable solutions for production use.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Strong knowledge of TEKLA Structures and its workflows.




- Good programming knowledge in languages relevant to TEKLA development, preferably C# and .NET / TEKLA Open API.
- Experience in developing and modifying TEKLA macros, plugins, connection components, templates, and reports.
- Understanding of structural steel detailing, fabrication workflows, and 3D modeling.
- Experience in R&D;, automation, software development, or workflow optimization is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Ability to research new technologies and translate them into practical production solutions.
- Good documentation and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, detailers, project teams, and software support teams.
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
