Qulity Automation Lead Engineer

Experience: 6+ Years Education: B.E./B.Tech, BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Automation Lead Engineer to drive test automation strategy, framework development, and quality engineering initiatives across cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on expertise in automation testing, leadership capabilities, Agile practices, and a passion for continuous testing and quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and testing solutions.
- Lead automation initiatives to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate release cycles.
- Build and execute automated test suites for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and Operations teams to ensure high product quality.
- Implement continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and enforce testing standards, processes, and quality metrics across projects.
- Develop quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into product health.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers, assign tasks, prioritize work, and monitor team performance.
- Identify process improvements and recommend automation strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Work effectively with globally distributed Agile and Scrum teams.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of software testing and test automation experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Selenium
- Karate
- Cucumber
- Bruno
- TestNG
- Jenkins
- SQL

- Programming expertise in Java and/or Python.




- Experience in API testing using REST/SOAP services.
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, STLC, and Quality Engineering principles.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

- Cloud platform experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- JUnit
- Rest Assured
- SonarQube
- Bamboo
- Checkmarx
- Fortify

- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of code quality, code coverage, and continuous delivery practices.
